A] Training Programme
BASIC TRAINING IN PEACE WORK
Having trained first our volunteers we offer now the Basic Training Programme
for interested people or Organizations. Time frame is for one or two days.
Becoming more aware of violence in our society, personal conflict handling
styles and communication skills - these are the main themes of the programme.
PEACE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS
We have started our peace education project for children in primary schools in
Jaffna. Our programme is organized in such a way that the children understand
the need for peace, experience the unity of group and get themselves good
manners. 50 children will visite Colombo parliament in view of the organization
in children parliament in Jaffna.
B] Our Future Plans
ESTABLISHING A PEACE LIBRARY
In cooperation with other libraries in Jaffna we would like to improve the
supply of new books on the Peace issues such as nonviolent communcation,
conflict- transformation and active non-violence.Supported by german partners we will be able to open a small space for reading
and internet research.
